Walk the wall.
Build the handstand.
Guided reps, clear holds, honest rest. Short, focused practice beats long, sloppy practice.
Before you go up
- Clear space. A sturdy, bare wall with about 2 m of free floor. No furniture, pets, or frames nearby.
- Surface. Non-slip floor. A folded mat or soft surface under the hands/head zone is optional but welcome.
- Warm up 3–5 min. Wrist circles, finger & palm stretches, cat-cow, shoulder rolls, plank and down-dog.
- Hands shoulder-width, fingers spread, press the floor away. Gaze between your hands.
- Plan your exit. Know how you'll come down before you go up.
Two ways to use the wall
Chest-to-wall walk
Start in plank with feet at the wall. Walk feet up as hands walk in. Belly faces the wall. Great for line and shoulder strength. Exit: walk back down the way you came.
Kick-up to wall
Hands ~a hand-length from the wall, kick up so heels rest on it. Back faces the wall. Builds kick-up confidence. Exit: step one foot down, or cartwheel out.

Filming
Prop the phone 2–3 m away, side-on to the wall, so the full wall and your whole body — hands to feet — stay in frame. Rear camera preferred. Video stays on this phone; nothing is uploaded.
Orientation
Cues
Frame your shot
Whole wall + whole body in frame — hands, hips and feet at the top of the walk. Side-on is best for checking your line.
Set your hands. Breathe.
Wrists or shoulders complain? Come down. Rest is training too.
